Brian K. Hemphill

Program Developer / Workshop Facilitatator

Brian K. Hemphill is a child abuse prevention specialist and certified trainer for the New Jersey Child Assault Prevention Project. As Project Coordinator, Mr. Hemphill served from 2001-2015. Mr. Hemphill is also a certified trainer in Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Prevention of Abusive and Sexual Behavior Problems In Childhood and Adolescence as presented by Kempe Center Director Gail Ryan, Dept. of Pediatrics, University of Colorado School of Medicine. Mr. Hemphill has also volunteered as a curriculum developer and lead instructor for the Read Up, Teens! Program. As President of the United Way Community Service Council of Oranges, Maplewood, and Irvington, Mr. Hemphill and his dedicated volunteers supported fundraising activities of the United Way of Essex County and West Hudson County as well as the Toy Bureau of the Oranges and Maplewood. Additionally, Mr. Hemphill is author of The Elements of Creative and Expressive Artistry, a 600-page textbook on the expressive elements of artistry common to all artistic disciplines. “Art and arts-related activities are vital to child development as it affords children a great capacity to express and explore their feelings,” says Mr. Hemphill
